Age Policy
In order to protect our business, and ensure the care and safety of our puppies after they leave our care. Southern
Style Pits requires all buyers and potential buyers to abide by a strict Age Policy. We do not, under any circumstances
sell to anyone under the age of 18. If a buyer is between the ages of 18 and 21, and still living in home with
parents, a parent MUST sign the Puppy Application, Deposit Contract, and Puppy Contract. This in no way makes the parent or
guardian financially or legally responsible for the purchased puppy. This only makes the parent or guardian aware of our policies,
and also makes them aware that their son or daughter is buying an American Pit Bull Terrier. We have had some problems in
the past with teens buying dogs and not making their parents aware of their purchase. This puts us in a bad position. We do
not want our puppies being sold to unknown people, or in some instances abandoned. In order to keep this from happening again,
we want parents to be aware that a Pit Bull puppy is being purchased. All of our potential buyers must abide by this policy.
Refusing to abide by this policy will cause potential buyer’s Application to be denied.
Deposit Contract
Buyer understands the deposit of $100 is NONREFUNDABLE, but is transferable to another puppy
of equal value if sickness, deformity, or complications with the puppy or litter arise. Buyer also understands that the puppy
must be paid in full by eight (8) weeks of age. If the full price of $250 is not paid in full by the time puppy is eight (8)
weeks of age, all money paid will be forfeited, and puppy will be resold.
Buyer also understands that in order to pick up puppy, the puppy must be paid in full, and
buyer MUST sign Puppy Contract. If buyer refuses to sign Puppy Contract, puppy WILL be forfeited, and NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED!
Puppy Contract
The buyer understands he or she has 72 hours to have puppy examined by veterinarian. If
the puppy is found to have any illness or deformity, Southern Style Pits will replace the sick puppy with one of equal value.
The buyer will not keep the ill puppy. The ill puppy will be surrendered, along with papers, to Southern Style Pits. The buyer
must provide Southern Style Pits with written diagnosis on ill puppy from the veterinarian, or puppy will not be replaced.
Southern Style Pits has provided first (1st) round of parvo and distemper shots
through Parkway Animal Hospital. Written proof of vaccinations will be provided to buyer when puppy is purchased. Buyer is
responsible for puppy’s second (2nd) and third (3rd) round of parvo and distemper shots through
the vet of his or her choice. Southern Style Pits has also provided puppy with first worming. Southern Style Pits is not responsible
for any complications that arise from any shots or worming not provided by breeder.
The buyer understands the puppy purchased from Southern Style Pits is not bred for illegal
acts. The puppy is not intended for fighting, baiting, or any other illegal activity. The buyer also takes responsibility
in providing for the purchased puppy. The puppy is not to be abused or neglected in anyway. If puppy is found in an abused
or neglected state, or used in any illegal activity, the buyer will return the puppy and papers to Southern Style Pits, and
Southern Style Pits will pursue legal actions.
